.:Submitting Files:.

Files can be submitted on a CD, Email or via FTP on our website.
(If you upload a file please notify us via phone or email
as soon as possible to ensure efficiency in the production process).

.:File Formats:.

Otter Creek Printing uses the most up-to-date versions of the leading software
in both Mac and PC platforms. Please call if you have any questions
about the program you are using in regard to file preparation.
Adobe Acrobat PDF files are the preferred format.

.:Supplied Scans:.

Due to digital large format printing technology, image resolution does not have to be
as high as offset printing. The suggested resolution is 125dpi at actual size.
For example, if you design a 22x28 at half-scale as an 11x14,
then the resolution would be 250dpi.
Important Note: Images taken from the World Wide Web
are not high enough resolution for large format applications.

.:Images to be Scanned:.

Otter Creek Printing can produce high resolution
scans from transparencies, negatives or prints.

.:Placed or Embedded Art:.

Please include editable versions of any placed,
or embedded art if submitting anything other than a PDF file.

.:Fonts:.

Please include all screen and postscript printer fonts,
including any embedded fonts. When working in Adobe Illustrator or Freehand,
please convert fonts to curves/outlines.

.:File Compression:.

Files should be compressed if you are sending them via the Internet.
Please collect all files as if you were loading to a disk.
When using Stuffit please do not use a .sea extension,
but instead a .sit extension is requested.
Again, Adobe Acrobat PDF files are the preferred format,
but do not necessarily need to be compressed
unless multiple files are being submitted.

.:Color Targets and Proofing:.

Please include all color matching information.
Otter Creek Printing will print the actual color information in your file
unless directed otherwise. If a specific PMS color is desired,
please include PMS callouts. Also use a PMS book
that lists the CMYK equivalent as we print in CMYK.
Since all monitors and proofing devices print differently,
if you want us to match your proof please let us know.
Color proofs can be provided by Otter Creek upon request for a minimal charge.

.:Preflight Your Disk:.

To insure proper data transfer, please check your files
by opening all files directly from your transport disk.
